Library qualification is key, because code from the library is linked into the application and installed onto the target device. Over the last few years, we have spoken many times about this topic in our blogs and webinars. We are glad that we are now finally able to show our solution in person as well! This June is therefore a busy time for our team as we have a presence at no less than three major international industry events.

The first is the Embedded Safety & Security Summit (ESSS), a virtual conference taking place on Wednesday June 15th. Focusing on the safety and security aspects of critical embedded systems, ESSS is an exclusive arena for the whole embedded community. The event is organized by LDRA with support from partners. It will feature an interactive panel discussion, and our CTO, Marcel Beemster, will join this panel together with Andrew Banks from LDRA, Juhi Ranjan from TRI, and Mike Bartly from Tessolve to discuss hot topics affecting the sector.

Next week we will exhibit at two other industry events that are making a welcome physical return after the pandemic.

The main focus of our stands will be our SuperGuard product. We have developed SuperGuard as a response to the lack of professional tools for library qualifications for customers developing safety-critical applications.

We launched SuperGuard last summer and much of the interest came, as we expected, from the safety-critical markets. We anticipate seeing SuperGuard more and more widely used for C library qualification and in the future for C++ library qualification.

The Automotive Testing Expo, from June 21st-23rd, at Messe Stuttgart, Germany, is the leading event for technologies and services in ADAS and autonomous vehicle testing, electric and hybrid powertrain testing, battery and range testing, EMI and NVH test and analysis.

Marcel Beemster will give a presentation entitled ‘SuperGuard: a solution for using C standard libraries in safety-critical applications’, on Tuesday June 21st at 2 PM. He will discuss the principles and practice of C standard library qualification, with particular reference to the ISO 26262 automotive industry standard.

Meanwhile, we will be attending the Embedded World Exhibition & Conference on the same dates in Nuremberg, Germany. Embedded World will showcase the latest innovations in the embedded sector, from components, modules and complete systems to operating systems, hardware and software and services.

Marcel Beemster will deliver a session entitled: ‘A requirements-based test suite for the C Standard Library: SuperGuard’ on Wednesday June 22nd at 4 PM, when he will again discuss the principles and practice of C standard library qualification.
